Your Wish Is Your Command

What's actually in the fourteen sessions

The shape of the training, from someone who's been through it — and why the order it's taught in matters.

Fourteen sessions, roughly an hour apiece — call it fourteen hours of material, recorded live across two days. Nobody can summarize fourteen hours honestly in one article, and I'm not going to pretend to. What I can do is tell you how the thing is shaped, so you know what you're walking into and why the order matters.

How the training is built

The arc runs from worldview to mechanics. The opening sessions establish the premise: that success leaves a pattern, that the people it comes easily to are operating differently at the level of state and intention, and that this difference is learnable. Trudeau spends real time here on his own story and on the claim that these ideas circulated in private circles long before the self-help industry packaged them — take that lineage as seriously or as lightly as you like; the teaching stands on its own.

The middle stretch is the heart of it: thought vibration, the transmitter framing, why affirmations repeated in a stressed everyday state do so little, and the difference between wanting something and actually commanding it — which is where the title comes from. This is also where counter-intentions get their full treatment: the opposing signals under your stated goals. For me this was the section where the material stopped being interesting and started being useful.

The later sessions concentrate the practice: specific techniques for setting intentions, working with your state, and — as the official guidebook puts it — planting and nurturing the seeds of what you're building. The guidebook pairs exercises with each session and openly recommends hearing every session at least twice. Having done it, I'd call that a floor, not a ceiling. The second pass is a different training.

A practical note from my own run-through: don't binge it. One session, then a day of actually noticing your own state, beats seven sessions in a weekend. The material is cumulative and it rewards patience.

Why I won't give you a session-by-session cheat sheet

Two reasons. First, summaries of this material genuinely flatten it — the teaching works by circling its core ideas from different angles until one of them lands, and a bullet list amputates exactly that. Second, the complete training is free. A cheat sheet made sense when the recording cost $1,000. Today the honest advice is simply: register, start with session one, and let it build the way it was designed to.
